You can mix and match any of the perks as long as you have the essentials of tank, healer, big zed killers and trash cleaners, you'll be perfectly fine.Īnd if you're curious about what perks are good against bosses, I would say all of them can be great but Berserker, Medic, Commando, Sharpshooter, Demo, and Support/Gunslinger are among the best team comps you can have for bosses, but it depends which one. (aside from survivalist being rather useless on high difficulties) Almost every class has two different playstyles But I listed the most common way you see those classes being used. Large Zed killers aka DPS perks such as Demo (For Fleshpounds but can do good damage against a Scrake,) Sharpshooter, Gunslinger and Support.Īnd of course if you have an extra slot, always take a Support for extra ammo for the team, Demo gives one grenade per wave, or whatever else you may need. Trash Clearers like Commando, Firebug, or SWAT to quickly dispatch hordes of trash and keep them under control, usually only having one is completely fine, but if you're without a Berserker two might be necessary especially if you're kiting more than holding out. Medics (On easier difficulties using a Survivalist as your healer is totally fine, maybe even on Suicidal if you're an incredibly skilled one, but Hell on Earth you should ALWAYS have a Field Medic, or in games that allow more than six players, have both a main healer and an off healer) Tank (Berserker) or Crowd Control in the front (Firebugs are really the only class(perk) that is exceptional at CC) As for what I'd say the current best class composition is, it depends on the map and playstyle or team composition. Like the comment above this already stated, it's less tier oriented and more about specific roles.
